MASTER VIOLIN BOWMAKER

Simon Guillaume is a dedicated archetier (bowmaker) who crafts exceptional bows for violin, viola, and cello. Originally from Belgium, Simon grew up in the tradition of bow making, learning the craft from a young age under the guidance of his father Pierre Guillaume, co-owner of Maison Bernard in Brussels. With a strong foundation in the French bow-making tradition, Simon’s passion for the craft has shaped his career and continues to drive his work today.

A JOURNEY OF TRADITION AND MASTERY

Simon’s skill has been shaped through years of training and work in prestigious workshops worldwide, including two years in Barcelona, one year in Paris, five years at Maison Bernard Brussels, and most recently two years in New York City. Along the way, Simon has had the privilege of working on some of the finest and most historically significant bows in the world. This hands-on experience, combined with his deep understanding of various bow-making traditions, has made him a highly skilled craftsman with a keen eye for detail.
